What A Week It Was So Far

I was a little up in the air about what to write about now. I try to keep up with current affairs, especially in the entertainment world here in Toronto, or back in the Caribbean – big shout out to Mr. Killa and Skinny Fabulous, Machel Montano and Bunji Garlin for their respective wins. However, this week, and the past few weeks have been pretty busy for Dyce, the dad.

My son who has been getting over cold-like symptoms has kept us busy, but he is getting better. This past weekend we celebrated his first birthday with a Paw Patrol themed birthday party. It was Paw-Patrol down to the cake

Cake made and designed by Destinie Gonyea

It was a truly awesome party which started with a swim in the indoor pool, then a table filled with delicious food and treats including a macaroni pie (Barbados delicacy) made by yours truly. It was also great to see my brother from another mother Inchex who came across from New York for the weekend to see his Godson at his year 1 birthday. More pictures can be seen on my Instagram.

So I came to the realization that the biggest topic I can always post about is my Father and Son moments. It will always be a watered down version because there’s always going to be a pretty thick line between business and personal life but I think I should share some moments like this because it shows you as a reader what my motivation is. I want my son to always be proud and happy. If you are interested in reading more blogs like this one, leave a comment below. I will try to post more consistently, as more events are coming up this month, stick around to hear more.
